General Information

What are your hours of operation? +Expand

They vary according to public and private event times. We reserve private event times according to client requests. Public event times are available in the Events CalendarEvents Calendar.

How long are private events? +Expand

Event durations vary depending on your needs but range from 1 to 3 hours. Please complete a Party Request Form on the Private Party page and an Events Specialist will contact you within 24–48 hours.

What KIND OF PAINT do you use? +Expand

We use non-toxic, water-soluble acrylic paint, which wipes off easily from hard, non-porous surfaces.

What do I wear?+Expand

Aprons are provided, but if you plan on being a messy painter, you may not want to don your best duds. We do use acrylic paint, though, so it will wash out if you rinse it right away.

What if I’m pregnant? +Expand

Our acrylic paint is non-toxic so it’s safe for children and expectant mothers.

Will my painting be dry and ready to take home? +Expand

Acrylic paints dry very quickly, which makes your paintings ready to transport immediately following the event!

Do you ever SHIP artwork? +Expand

Yes! We’ll ship your paintings wherever you’d like. Please contact us for information regarding shipping fees.

Public Events

What is a Pop-Up Party? +Expand

As part of community outreach, we partner with local restaurants and other venues to host our art parties even after our permanent studio is open. Check the event description on the Events CalendarEvents Calendar to determine the location of the event you’d like to attend.

How much does it cost? +Expand

Pricing for public events is listed in the description for each event on the Events CalendarEvents Calendar.

How do I REGISTER? +Expand

First click on the Events CalendarEvents Calendar, then click the image on your preferred event date, then complete the registration process to purchase ticket(s) securely online. Once complete, you’ll receive an automatic e-mail confirmation.

How long are the events? +Expand

It varies. The cocktail and art instruction times are listed in the event description on the Events CalendarEvents Calendar.

Who is teaching the class? +Expand

A local artist will provide hands-on instruction throughout the event. For larger class sizes, additional artists will circulate to provide instruction.

What will we paint? +Expand

For a public event, you’ll paint the image shown on our calendar, but you don’t have to paint that image—feel free to get creative! HOWEVER, the lead instructor will be teaching the calendar image to the rest of the class, so you’ll need to be patient as our artists provide verbal instruction for your selected piece when possible.

Can my friends and I sit together? +Expand

If you have a LARGE GROUP, we’ll do our best to seat you all together. Help us out by including the total number of guests and/or guests’ names when you register OR call us to provide the date/time of your event and the number of guests in your group.

How is parking? +Expand

Located in the heart of Uptown, Bottle & Bottega is located on 1216 W Lake St, at the corner of W Lake and Fremont. Metered and unmetered parking is available as well as the Calhoun Square & Mozaic garages. Click hereto view a map of the area.

What if I’m RUNNING LATE? +Expand

If you get to the party more than 30 minutes late, we’ll do our best to catch you up, but we won’t be able to extend the class time. We can, however, invite you back to any other public event (space permitting) FREE OF CHARGE to finish your painting.

Is alcohol provided at public events? +Expand

What is the Cancellation Policy for public events? +Expand

If you cancel within 48 hours of an event, you’ll receive a credit for future events in the form of a Gift Certificate. If you cancel outside the 48-hour window, you’ll have the option for a complete refund. B&B VIPs may access their accountstheir accounts to cancel registrations at any time subject to the same Cancellation Policy.

Can my CHILD ATTEND a public event with me?+Expand

Because alcohol is present during our events, we restrict attendance to adults 18 and over. Alcohol consumption is permitted only for adults over 21. All guests will be carded.

How do I reserve/book an event? +Expand

An Events Specialist is waiting to hear from you! Please complete a Party Request Form on the Private Party page to submit your request. Someone will contact you within 24–48 hours.

May I select my own artwork? +Expand

Yes, when booking a Private Event, you can choose your favorite artwork(s) from the B&B library.

How many guests do I need to book a party? +Expand

To book a private party in our studio the minimum is 10 guests. To book a private at your home or another venue, the minimum is 7 guests.

Do you require a deposit to book a party? +Expand

A deposit is required for all private events. The deposit goes toward your final balance, which is due upon completion of the event.

Does the cost include tax or gratuity?+Expand

Rates include tax and service fees. Gratuities are welcome but not included.

What does the party include? +Expand

Each event includes setup (tarp or plastic is provided for Pop-up Parties) and cleanup, all art supplies, aprons, hands-on art instruction and a take-home masterpiece for each guest. Additional inclusions vary depending on party type and any selected add-on options. Please contact us for more information.

What is your Cancellation Policy?+Expand

For private parties, cancellations made within 2 weeks of an event will forfeit the deposit and incur an additional $100 charge. Please note: Event dates and/or times changed within 2 weeks of the event are subject to the same aforementioned Cancellation Policy conditions.

Will you TRAVEL? +Expand

Yes. We will go just about anywhere! A Travel Fee will be charged to cover transportation. This fee varies depending on the distance. For larger events requiring multiple artists, additional fees may apply.

Should I TIP the artist? +Expand

Tipping is not obligatory, but if you feel like the artist or model did a great job, by all means, give them a little something extra!
